The Almond Blossom Festival and Parade

The Almond Blossom Festival and Parade are held the second week in March. The parade typically starts at 10:00 AM, proceeding down 50th Street West from Avenue M to Avenue L-8. This occasion includes all of the trappings, such as bands, floats, VIPs, equestrians and classic/antique cars.


Coincidentally with the Almond Blossom Parade, sometimes before or after, is the Quartz Hill Pet Parade, where the citizens and their children proudly show off their animal friends.

Carnival will be set up by 4:00 PM on Friday,and available Friday night, Saturday and Sunday also. The Festival is from 10:00AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. The Nutty Runners will start Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 AM at Joe Walker Middle School Track.

Following the parade(s) is the Quartz Hill Almond Blossom Festival, held at George Lane Park (55th West and Avenue L-8) for the remainder of Saturday and all day Sunday. The festival has food, entertainment, community agencies, businesses and craft vendors.
